Chennai to Trivandrum-Parveen Travels Benz Bus
Last weekend for a official visit need to travel
Bus starts from Koyambedu at 8:00 pm and decided to board in at Perungalathur which is in the outskirts of Chennai. Crossing the scheduled time bus reached at 8:50 pm instead of 8:30 and on seeing the exterior appearance itself it won my hearts.
Length of the bus is almost equal to Volvo rear axle and for my thought it is bit lengthier than the Volvo (My assumption)
Here are the Technical Details:
Mercedes chassis O 500 RSD 2436
Powered by the Euro III engine
Rear engines with 6 vertical cylinders
Turbo charged and intercooled engine deliver 1200 Nm torque at a low rpm of 1400-1600
Seating Capacity of 48
Smart suspension with lifting mechanism allows the chauffer to increase the height of the bus
Interior of this bus is designed as same as passenger aircraft and truly on comparison it is much better than the Indian planes. With a 2+2 semi sleeper this bus has modern amenities like personalized speakers (Pioneer Make), lights and AC controls. For better viewing they have placed two LCD screens one in the front and another in the middle of the vehicle. Designer Curtains placed in the windows is a feather in the beauty of this bus
All passengers on Board are welcomed with a kitbag containing Maa mango drink, Water bottle, Wet tissue and an orange flavored biscuit packet, apart from shawl (safeguard from the A/C) and a small pillow.
Bus leaves exactly at 9:10 pm and stops for dinner at a motel before Tindivanam. Matching the class of bus the restaurant is also a good one (Only Omni buses of KPN, Parveen stops here) crowd is not that much and hence maintained very neat.
After dinner it touches NH45 again to mingle in the crowd of buses heading towards southern part of Tamilnadu. It’s one of the busiest 8 lane road and till trichy during night time it’s over crowded. Previously travelled in Volvo rear axle from
A/C is very good, since it’s a new vehicle and its cooling capacity forced all to use the shawl provided by them. After the dinner break the vehicle stopped only before
Because of travel fond baring my sleep I enjoyed watching vehicles and almost all private and govt vehicles are being overtaken by this Benz power. Not having an opportunity to monitor the speedometer but predict it touches a top speed of 110 kmph in the NH stretch.
Crossing
Unlike the Leyland and Tata vehicles much care and facilities given to the driver console and one notable among them is a rear view camera. Taking into account the length of the vehicle, rear camera is available and for this a monitor is placed in the driver console. Apart from this so many buttons are there and resembles an interior inside a pilot cabin.
In a time span of one hour reached Nagerkovil at 6:15 am (78 kms in 60 mnts) and there the bus halted for a break of nearly 20 mnts to unload the parcels placed in the lower deck. Able to see storage space which is splitted into two parts and it can accommodate almost half a volume of parcel lorry.
After this extended break in the early hours, last leg of journey from Nagerkovil to Trivandrum begins and really it will be the toughest one as the road between these two cities won't be in the standards of NH even though it was called like it. Resembling the busy roads of Chennai, from Nagerkovil to Trivandrum this 2 lane road with no medians act as a speed barrier. No Benz or Volvo can stretch themselves and forced to follow Leyland and Tata's silently.
Reached Trivandrum junction at 7:45 am, covering an overall distance of 725 kms and my first experience with Benz is remembered for a long time.Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Below are the Interview Questions, which were asked in HR Round.....
No one will GET second chance to impress....
Very very Impressive Questions and Answers..... ...
Question 1:
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night,
it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see
three people waiting for a bus:
An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
An old friend who once saved your life.
The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that
there could only be one passenger in your car?
This is a moral/ethical dilem ma that was once ac tually used as part of a
job application.
* You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus
you should save her first;
* or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and
this would be the perfect chance to! pay him back.
* However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming
up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?
He simply answered:
"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to
the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner
of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought
limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."
Question 2:
What will you do if I run away with your sister?"
The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match
for my sister than you sir"
Question 3:
Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) - What is one morning you woke
up & found that you were pregnant.
Girl - I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.
Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed
it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked
Question 4:
Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived
kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?
Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"
He got selected.
You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee
was kept before.
(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U - alphabet) Reply was
"TEA" ( T - alphabet)
Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"
Question 5:
Where Lord Rama would have celebrated his "First Diwali"?
People will start thinking of Ayodya, Mitila [Janaki's place], Lanka
etc...
But the logic is, Diwali was a celebrated as a mark of Lord Krishna
Killing N arakasura. In Dusavata ar, Krishnavatha ar comes after
Raa mavatha ar.
So, Lord Rama would not have celebrated the Diwali At all!
Question 6:
The interviewer asked to the candidate "This is your last question of the
interview. Please tell me the exact position of the center of this table
where u have kept your files."
Candidate confidently put one of his finger at some point at the table
and told that this was the central point at the table.
Interviewer asked how did u get to know that this being the central point
of this table, then he answers quickly that
"sir u r not likely to ask any more question, as it was the last question
that u promised to ask....."
And hence, he was selected as because of his quick-wittedness. .......
This is What Interviewer expects from the Interviewee. ...

My maiden Flight Journey
Turning my dream into reality an opportunity has came to fly to Hyderabad for an assignment and hearing the same itself my thoughts are filled surrounding it.
Kingfisher Red has got the privilege of accommodating me and time of travel will be Saturday @ 5.55 am. Packed off my bags in a day before itself, as i normally won't do, I rehearsed myself thrice in my home for my behavioral in airport as well as inside the flight. Dropped by my brother along with the company of my close-mate made entry into the airport lobby for check-in.
Even though its my maiden journey and second one for my friend we are aware of all airport procedures from check-in to final call as we have enough experience in sendoff's of friends and relatives.(So many tatabyebye's so far)
Verifying our identify proofs and baggage checks,Seats has been allotted (My birth date 14 and 15) and we are being directed to the lobby where we are supposed to wait till the time of boarding. Still i remember my child hood days and even now too about my fond of seeing baggage tags carrying the name of airlines and passenger name tied with the luggage's and as soon as i was being issued with an one strongly knotted the same with my hand luggage's and had a great sign of satisfaction.
Exactly 20 mnts before the time of departure we got the first call for boarding and waiting for it we make ready ourselves by refreshing in restroom and moved to the exit door. During this time off itself we both made call to our betterparts(wifes) who only hear our stories at this early hours. Final security check has been done and we are permitted to getin the airport bus which takes us to the steps of boarding plane. Even though seen this bus in so many movies
(Speed1 & Speed2) traveling in this first time is also a owe some experience.
Arrived at the entrance of flight i got disappointed a bit as the size of plane is too small then my expectation and later googled and found that for short distances especially budgetory airlines use 727 aircrafts instead of Jumbo or 747.
Greeted by both a Flight Steward and air hostess we are being directed to our seats and as soon as we occupied the same based on his prior experience my friend make himself comfortable by wearing his seat belts and started yawning. Feeling shy,i started my research on wearing the seat belt and at last in a timegap of 5 to 8 mnts i made myself locked into it. Proving that an`first time flyer i started seeing here and there inside the plane and testing the switches up and down, anyone who noticed me will surely got irritated of my child level activities. But for the sake of them i can't control myself as i decided to fully explore myself during this maiden trip.
Time has come for the take off on the mode of announcement from the co-pilot wondered about the superiority role of commander. Wherever it may be office or airplane seniors are seniors and juniors are juniors only...Job nature won't change few things.

My Trip to Tirumala
Some of his officemates are the orginators and this offer comes with a double package of Tirupathi and a visit to the tourism spot Talaikonam near by to it. Without any hesitations said Double ok and startoff time for the same has been scheduled as 8:30 pm of saturday.Rajesh Home will be the pickup point for we two and Toyota-Innova came as planned carrying the rest 3.
Two balas and swaminathan all three colleques, to my close mate are our other partners for this trip. Started from kolathur at around 8:45 pm,slowly we started getting out from City traffic.Plan will be taking the route via redhills,Tada to tirupathi and on reaching the outskirts of city only realised that my journey in Innova is with a Mini-Schumacher(Bala-1).
Never thought that this Big car can be drived with this much of fast and elegance and for me really its a Thrill rider only.As a well-seasoned rally driver he make use of all available horse power provided by Toyota(Brakes too) and on the way also shown some stunts of driving the vehicle without lights(Power saver and Global warming initiative)
Cutoff time for clearance from tirupathi to tirumala is 12:00 of midnite and tagetting the same reached sharply tirupathi at 11:45 pm. Songs and the exciting drive keeps all of us fresh and on compeltion of security checks our thrill rides turm from normal roads to Hill roads. As same in the Highways our schumacher shown his talents and all of them got a chance of exercising themself in the car itself in the sharp U-turns and bends.20 mNts is the lap period for our racer from tirupathi to thirumala and leaving the vehicle in the parking spot moved to the next phase of identyfying the way for darshan.
300 Rupees ticket is the Ultimate choice and the same will be opened for darshan only at 4:00 am. Completing our midnite dinner of fried rice and dosas we all get ready to line up in the queue and crowd there is not as we have in the mind. Already its packed off with more than 50+ at 1:30 am we take off our postions and slowly started taking sleep in in the queue platform itself. There are times I used to think off people who used to live in the roadsides and having sleep there itself. Wondered how they are having that much of pleasant sleep in the open road with lights and sounds always on.God gave his answers to me and in the queue our sleep is really as pleasant as we have in our homes.
Crowd started moving slowly at 4:00 am and in a time span of 45 mnts max we are in the place whwre we want to be. Gods grace has fallen on us and in the midst of crowd we had the darshan in a full hearted manner.Coming out we gathered the free prasadam and on offering of Rs.10 got extra of that too.Next to God in tirupathi Laddu is the important part of attraction and for 300 rs ticket two laddus will be offered. Queue for collecting the same is not big and really the arrangements of devostanam is imperssive.
Variet of tickets free darsha, 50 Rs , Seva tickets, 300 Rs Ticket all has separate counters and managing the same with clean and care is a awesome work.Trying to get extra laddus other than the offered ones we came across with a photo seller outside the block offering a single laddu ticket for 50 Rs in the black market. Though its against the rules violating the same got it and extra laddu per head was added to our prasada collection.
Downside journery from tirumala to tirupathi at that early morning time is also a rollergoaster ride and enjoying the same without any afraid because of the confidence with our schumacher. Reached kalahasti to have a word with a friend of them from hyderabad and on Completion of the visit and breakfast started moving towards Thalaikonam tourist spot.
Not much I heard about and in the team i was only the first time visitor,so excitment and curious to see the place is much more to me than the others. From tirupathi it is located at a distance of merley 60 to 70 kms and most of the distance needs to be covered towards beyond the NH only.Even though the same is part of intervillage roads, quality of the same is really to be appreciated. Clean and distruction free road made our travel comfort and only hurdle we come across is locating the place. Eventhough the rest of the team had gone through twice everything seems to be new and make pitstops of 5 to 6 for enquiry.
Atlast our destination came in front of our eyes when the clock is ticking as 11:30 am....Even though it is the start of the summer still we feel the heat eventhough the entire journey is in a car which is best known for cooling in the market....Thalaikonam seems to be identical as other waterfalls spots as i visited and at the time of reaching seen a telugu film crew who was busy in shooting an film in which Mohanbabu son as a hero....Not concentrating much on the same we proceed with the purpose and started our water heroism instantly....Need to say out of 5 only a single sole Schumacher bala can swim in water and rest we all are good known for the therotical part of it...
Sleepliness, hectic travel, heat everything was forget by the entire team and more than we expect the water which is in the form of small pond is too chill to reach....Not much chance left and only we are able to delay our drop by few mnts and entire team assembled in water for next
